Airtime have a range of server hosting options on multiple platforms including UNIX, Microsoft NT, Lotus Domino, ASP, and SQL.
Airtime provides a leased/managed server configured with the relevant operating system. Your server will be configured to your preferred domain and connected to our primary backbone for full 24 x 7 access to the World Wide Web.
Additional configuration to install licensed software applications including commissioning and testing is chargeable at our normal hourly rate. You are responsible for the costs for all additional software and for any licensing issues for additional software installed on your server and for the integrity of the software.
Airtime will provide mail and web forwarding at our normal published rates. All web sites are subject to our normal Terms & Conditions governing acceptable use and assume a normal level of bandwidth usage. Sites which are bandwidth intensive, i.e., which have high graphic content or offer software downloads, may incur additional costs for high bandwidth usage.
Server Access
Airtime will assist you with the best options for gaining remote access to your server for updates and amendments and our Technical Support team will advise on relevant software.
Alternatively you may want Airtime staff to perform an update on your behalf, e.g. updates, diagnostics, etc. This is chargeable at our normal hourly rate.
You may wish to gain access to the server for software updates, patches, diagnosis, etc. which would require that the server be removed from the network. There is an administration charge for this service of £75.00 plus VAT. This service must be booked in advance with at least 24 hours notice.
Server access by yourselves or Airtime staff is available during normal office hours, 9:00 5:30 Monday Friday. Please note that an urgent upgrade which requires Airtimes staff to remain on-site outside these times will be charged at double the standard rate.
24 x 7 access for maintenance, repair, etc. is subject to an additional fee depending upon the level of response required, e.g. 4 hour, 8 hour, next day, etc.
Server Backup & Security
All servers are hosting in an air-conditioned, secure, server farm with UPS backup and are protected behind our firewall. The overall annual fee includes all the bandwidth usage fees, subject to our acceptable use policy, facilities management, equipment maintenance and upgrades and data backups. However, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of data on your server.
As part of our service Airtime will swap backup tapes at your request or reboot your server. You are responsible for configuring the backup software; Airtime will simply swap the tape. Whilst Airtime will take all reasonable care of a co-located server owned by you, you will be responsible for insuring the server(s) and associated equipment against loss or damage. Airtime does not accept any liability whatsoever for loss or damage to your hosted server.
Server Specification
All leased/managed rack mounted servers are supplied to the following specification as standard. Applications which require a higher specification, such as more memory, faster processor, larger drive capacity, RAID array, etc. will be quoted separately for the cost of the additional items.
The choice of brand is at Airtimes discretion. A specific branded machine to your specification may also be ordered at an additional cost.
Server Hosting Fees
All servers are configured with the appropriate operating system but do not include the cost of the application(s), e.g. Lotus Notes software, which you may supply and install, or Airtime can quote for supply and installation if preferred.

Minimum Contract Period & Termination
12 months from date of contract termination requires 30 days notice by the Customer, subject to the minimum contract period having been exceeded.
